Exploring Strategic Collaboration with IPPT to Expand Toxicology Testing Services
BERTAM, 30 May 2025 – The Usains Biomics Marketing Team visited the Institut Perubatan & Pergigian Termaju (IPPT), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Bertam Campus to explore potential collaboration in analytical and laboratory testing services with the aim of expanding service offerings to the market.
During the visit, the team toured IPPT’s advanced research facilities, including various chromatography platforms, and held an engaging discussion with team members from the Department of Toxicology. We were warmly received by Associate Professor Ts. ChM. Dr. Noorfatimah, Dr. Maisarah Nasution, Dr Nurhuda and Dr. Nik Nur Syazni.
Discussions focused on key collaboration areas such as analytical chemistry (including extraction technology, separation science, and method development for contaminant and pharmaceutical detection), microextraction techniques, pesticide exposure and dietary risk assessment, as well as cell biology and molecular genetics analysis in toxicology, herbal products, and molecular pharmacology.
The visit was fruitful, setting the stage for strategic partnerships that combine scientific expertise and service innovation—enabling both parties to bring enhanced analytical capabilities to the market.
