PENANG, 23 September 2024 – A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between Usains Biomics, represented by USAINS Group Managing Director Mr. Farid Wajidi, and YC Bersatu Biotech Sdn Bhd, represented by Managing Director Mr. Kelvin Han Wei Jian. This collaboration focuses on enhancing Moromi Fermentation to improve soy sauce quality and flavor, under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Tan Joo Soon from the School of Industrial Technology at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

This partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of Biotechnology and product innovation. Both parties expressed excitement about the project’s potential to align industry needs with academic research, creating impactful advancements in the Food Biotechnology sector.

By leveraging USM’s expertise, this MoA strengthens Usains Biomics’ role in bridging academic research with industrial applications. The project is expected to raise standards in soy sauce production and Fermentation Technology, unlocking new possibilities and further strengthening industry-academia ties for future growth.
