USAINS Group Celebrates 68th Merdeka Month with Traditional Games Day
Penang, 28th August 2025 – In celebration of Malaysia’s 68th Merdeka Month, the Human Resource & Administration (HRA) Department of USAINS Group hosted a lively and meaningful ‘Sukan Rakyat’ (Traditional Games Day) at Sains@USM, Bukit Jambul.
The event brought together staff from various departments in a festive atmosphere filled with laughter, unity, and nostalgic fun. Traditional Malaysian games such as Lempar Gelung, Galah Panjang, Batu Seremban, and Congkak were played throughout the day, rekindling childhood memories while promoting team spirit and camaraderie among employees.
Organised as part of the Merdeka Month celebration, the programme carried the theme “Semangat Perpaduan, Warisan Kita Bersama” – a reminder of the importance of unity, cultural heritage, and shared national identity.
The event was not only a celebration of Malaysia’s independence but also a reflection of the organisation’s commitment to preserving local traditions and strengthening bonds among its workforce. The cheerful participation and enthusiastic response from all attendees made the celebration a resounding success.
